Watch me interview Tory Burch this week at The Met!
Alina will host The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s First Ticketed In-Person Live Talk Since the Pandemic
Hi! I know you don't normally hear from me on a Monday. But I’d like to extend a special invitation to you.
In support of the arts… and, yes, me.
If you live in New York or nearby, I hope you'll consider buying a ticket (they start at $40) and watch me interview Tory Burch in person this week at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The one-hour interview will take place this Thursday, October 28th at 6:30 p.m. ET at Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, which is inside the museum.
This will be the first live, in-person talk at The Met’s auditorium since the COVID-19 pandemic.
And I'm really excited about it.
I’ve known Tory Burch since well before she started her namesake label back in 2004.

She launched her brand from her kitchen. And got a big break early on when Oprah – a fan of Tory’s tunics – asked her to be on her show.

Today, Tory Burch is conservatively a billion-dollar brand.
She’s a total BOSS.

I’ve interviewed Tory Burch many times over the years. Most recently, for CBS Sunday Morning:

During the pandemic, Tory lobbied on behalf of the entire fashion industry for federal aid. She personally called then Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. And top lawmakers in Congress.

One of approximately 100 pieces featured as part of The Costume Institute’s new exhibition, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
On view through September 5, 2022.
Here's an idea: why not come early to The Met, see the exhibition and then watch me interview Tory?
To attend, you’ll have to bring a photo ID, proof of vaccination, and wear a mask inside.
Tory and I will be unmasked on stage, but only because we will be tested less than 24 hours before the interview.
The auditorium holds hundreds and The Met is taking every precaution.
Having said all that, we plan to have a great time… and I hope you’ll join Tory and me this Thursday — in person — at the museum.
Let me know in the comments if you’re coming – hope to see you there!
