Who Won Best Dressed at the 2022 Met Gala?
Kim Kardashian wears Marilyn Monroe’s dress... Lizzo’s outfit takes 22,000 hours to make... Hailey Bieber channels Jerry Hall... and more!
The Met Gala 2022 is in the books.
For the first time in a long time – this red carpet did not disappoint.
The theme was Gilded Glamour... and many of the night’s biggest stars understood the assignment.
So, let’s get to it.
Here are my TOP 10 FAVORITE LOOKS FROM THE MET GALA 2022:

KIM KARDASHIAN: Kim Kardashian literally shut down the red carpet (the last to arrive) wearing the iconic Jean Louis dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Kardashian said she lost 16 pounds to wear it and went platinum blond to complete the look.

HAILEY BIEBER: Hailey Bieber always looks flawless. This Saint Laurent white gown was perfection on the Met red carpet. Bieber said she was inspired by the nearly identical dress Jerry Hall wore on the YSL runway in 2002.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER: Sarah Jessica Parker told Vogue recently she spends at least 7 months preparing her Met Gala look. This black and white custom gown by Christopher John Rogers was inspired by a dress Mrs. Lincoln wore, made by a dressmaker who bought her way out of slavery and built a fashion business.

ALICIA KEYS: The singer who brought us New York’s unofficial anthem, Empire State of Mind, said her Met Gala look was inspired by – what else? The Big Apple. Her shimmery strapless Ralph Lauren gown and black skyscraper cape –on theme and showed New York pride.

GABRIELLE UNION-WADE: Gabrielle Union-Wade looked radiant in this custom silver Versace gown. Love the deep V and the oversized red flower at the waist. Feminine, chic, sexy!

GWEN STEFANI: I love a good pop of color and Gwen Stefani really popped on the carpet in this stunning custom Vera Wang Haute top, ball skirt and sleeves. Few do red carpet drama better than Queen Vera.

LIZZO: When I ran into Thom Browne at the Met yesterday, he told me he was dressing 18 people for the Met Gala. Lizzo’s outfit look 1500+ hours to develop and an additional 22,500 hours of handiwork for the embroidery. All for this one, all-important red carpet.

MIRANDA KERR: More Met Gala guests should take a cue from Miranda Kerr, in Oscar de la Renta. Simple elegance. Never fails. I always love what Oscar does for the Met Gala. Co-creative directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim designed Billie Eilish’s winning gown last year, remember?

GEMMA CHAN: I’m down for whatever Gemma Chan is wearing. She is, in my opinion, one of the chicest women on the planet. She looks smashing in this Art Deco inspired look by Louis Vuitton.

VANESSA HUDGENS: This black Moschino gown is anything but basic. Sheer in all the right places and fits her like a glove. It just... works.
